Floor Tile Designs

Once the room dimensions had been established, I laid out the tile designs, using a hexagon pattern on a computer. I was able to order some of the tile in custom, “laid-up” sheets based on my drawings. I ordered the tile, picked up the tile, and then gave the tile layer my drawings and the tile, and stood over his shoulder making sure he followed the drawings. On a couple of occasions, he wandered off from the drawings, and I had to have him re-set some of the tiles. In the end, we have been very happy with the tile and the patterns. We had cement poured under every area in the house where tile was to be laid; this prevents the floor from flexing and causing cracks in the tile and grout.
