Kitchen

Traditional Victorian kitchens were generally located at the rear of the house; our plans follow this configuration. It was also historically accurate for the kitchen cabinets to be configured in a manner more like separate furniture items than like the built-in cabinets in modern kitchens. We chose to have the cabinets custom-built out of quarter-sawn white oak. It is more likely that kitchen cabinetry of the day would have not been this elegant, but we chose to raise the standards in this room. Our kitchen includes a hidden Sub Zero refrigerator, a hidden Bosch dishwasher, and a hidden microwave. The kitchen also includes a walk-in pantry.
